Meecast best app for the best phone ever  N9, since 3 days stoped updating data  for openweathermap.org  now im on weather.com  ..fine !!   V 1.1.5,

Hi,

 

First of all, thank you for a nice app. This is especially useful now that the Accuweather app no longer works.

 

Would it be possible to have a separate time format (12/24h) setting or use the system time format? Right now it seems that MeeCast always uses 12h time format if the language is English (whether it be via selecting "System" or "English"). I would like to have English language and 24h time format and I'm sure there are others as well...

Hi,

The hourly forecast times now follow the system time format setting but the sunrise/sunset times seem to be always using the 12h format.

Hi,

Time format for sunrise/sunset is now fixed, thanks.

However, I just noticed that MeeCast displays the same sunrise/sunset times for all days even though the daylight time should be getting a couple of minutes shorter every day this time of the year.

It says "The Weather Channel" at the bottom.

Can I change the source somehow? I think Foreca might provide more detailed information for my location...

EDIT: Figured out that I can select the source from "Manage locations". I tried adding my location with Foreca as the source but this way I can't get any sunrise/sunset information. With FMI I only get sunrise/sunset for the current day.

Hi,

thanks once again for this nice app.

I've noticed that the data which the app shows in the regular main view is sometimes not updated automatically. I'm using meecast daemon. Both the app cover and the event view info is updated automatically, but not the app main view. When I update the main view by hand it works fine.

Hi Vlad,

I've been using meecast for a few years now and I like your app a lot. I have just updated to version 0.9.17, which is so much better than my old version 0.8.2.

However, in the German translation, two words are too long. They are either cut off when used on the right side, or they run into the word following them when used on the left side. Could you shorten these two words in the next version. These words are:

"Letzte Aktualisierung" (Last update): maybe shorten to just "Aktualisierung" or "Letzte Änderung"

"Windgeschwindigkeit" (Wind speed): maybe shorten to "Windstärke".

Sometimes, the weather description underneath the weather icon is too long and then cut off.

At the moment, I don't get any weather data from yr.no. Is that a problem of the app or of the data service?

Влад, почему бы не добавить единственное/множественное число к переводу фразы %1 секунд/минут/часов назад (секунду-секунды-секунд/минуту-минуты-минут/час-часа-часов)? Если нет, то в таком случае удачнее использовать общепринятые сокращения (с/мин/ч).

Плюс сама фраза Последнее обновление: не влезает в экран. Ее можно заменить одним словом Обновлено:

И в текущей версии 0.9.3 я часто получаю N/A в прогнозе, не направлении ветра, а вообще. Прогнозы с The Wheather Channel.

Версия для N9 уже не основная.

Я подумаю об исправлении секунд/минут/часов Но не обещаю, что сделаю.

Перевод для обновлено поменяю. Спасибо за подсказку.

Благодарю за внимание. Понятно, что девятка уже не приоритет. Тем приятнее, когда разработчик тебя все еще слышит и отвечает.

К вопросу о секундах и т.д. мне думается, что вполне уместно просто оставить сокращение. Для этого нужно лишь иправить три строчки в файле локализации, т.е. затрат уйдет меньше, чем добавлять множественные формы для всех трех значений. В конце концов, в приложении уже используются сокращения вроде мм рт.ст., м/с и прочее. Т.е. все было бы едино. Но в любом случае, решать вам.

Про Weather Channel все именно так, как вы описали. Но не перманентно, т.е. то есть, то нет. И сейчас я обновился и пока не получаю этой баги получаю эту багу.
