The patch does not apply on Sailfish OS 4.3.0.15 (Xperia X Compact).

Dear @Schturman! Please update for 4.0.1.x!

edp17's picture

If you install gnu-bash, then you can apply this patch with patchmanager as usual. (It works on my XA2 and Galaxy Note4 with sfos 4.0.1.48.)

Edit: it only works when the default user is nemo!

explit's picture

Tried on the Tablet, where the user is nemo and gnu-bash is installed, but it still not working.

Hi Schturman. Add new icons have problemas to activation. Please can update? Thanks

Rafaelvlmendes's picture

Thanks for new updates!

Hi Schturman, please, please make your Patch functional with SailfishOS 3. I can't update my Sony, because I can not stand numbers on the folder-icons. I am a little bit strange, I know it... ;)

Schturman's picture

Hi. I know... I still didn't updated to v3. I hope soon...

crisbort's picture

Doesn't work with 3.0 :(

sdiconov's picture

Does NOT work with 2.1.4.14 .
I tried this patch on a Jolla C. The phone was freshly reset and upgraded. The result was that the phone rebooted twice and all traces of this patch were erased automatically.
Does anyone know how to switch folder icons to four miniature icons (as shown by the now broken launcher combined patch)???

Schturman's picture

Don't know what you did with your phone but patch work without any problem on all my devices (jolla1, C and tablet). And my patch not compatible with launcher combined patch.

Ygorr's picture

Mm   how to unite this patch and combine launcher?Cause both  feature are helpful

Schturman's picture

Need check... If it change the same parameters in the file, but in different variation = not possible...

HI! I can't enable this patch in sfos 2.0.5... moreover I also can't unistall it from warehouse nor through terminal cause it launches this error:

Fatal error: Subprocess failed. Error: RPM failed: error: 0x459b71b8reun(sailfishos-more-foldericons-0.1-7.noarch) scriptlet failed, exit status 2
error: sailfishos-more-foldericons-0.1-7.noarch: erase failed

What should I do?

EDIT: I removed manually all files I could find in the RPM package, but warehouse still lists it as installed.

Schturman's picture

weird... i don't have any problem with uninstallatin. Are you sure you unapplied patch before system update?

You can try to install it again and remove from terminal ? If it still not uninstallable, we will do it step by step...

Also you can try: rpm -e --noscripts sailfishos-more-foldericons

Schturman's picture

It happens because you probably updated yout system to 2.0.5.6 without unapplying my patch. For me all work without any problem...
Run this commands as ROOT:
/bin/rm -f /usr/share/lipstick-jolla-home-qt5/launcher/LauncherFolder.qml.webosinternals.orig
/bin/rm -f /usr/share/lipstick-jolla-home-qt5/launcher/LauncherGrid.qml.webosinternals.orig
/bin/rm -f /usr/share/jolla-settings/entries/foldericons.json.webosinternals.orig pkcon remove sailfishos-more-foldericons

Show output here. And if all is ok, you can reinstall it from warehouse again.

That pastes really well now.

Schturman's picture

Exactly this what you needed...

P.S. I don't have sudo, did you tried just with devel-su pkcon remove package-name? For me work without any problem...

babba22's picture
