NOTE: the program name has changed from dstat to dool!
This is now available from the chum repository. Please update to that version.
Dool is a Python 2.x and 3.x compatible version of Dstat with a couple minor bug fixes.
After Dag Wieers ceased development of Dstat Scott Baker forked the project to continue development.
A versatile replacement for vmstat, iostat, netstat and ifstat, overcomes some of their limitations and adds some extra features, more counters and flexibility. Dstat is handy for monitoring systems during performance tuning tests, benchmarks or troubleshooting.
NOTE: If you have installed the dstat from fface, installing this version will remove it.
Hint: Try
alias dstat="dstat --time --cpu --proc --mem --page --disk --top-cpu --top-io --top-mem" alias dool="dool --time --cpu --proc --mem --page --disk --top-cpu --top-io --top-mem"
