Video Editor Qt (video-editor-qt)
A local-first video clipping tool for Sailfish OS: pick segments → reorder → preview → export, all in one flow. A Qt Widgets port of the web-based video-editor, built the same way as music-editor-qt.
How it works
1. Add videos — pick multiple files from the built-in file browser, or drag & drop on desktop. MP4/WebM/MOV/MKV/AVI supported; formats the player can't handle (MKV/AVI/WMV…) are automatically transcoded into a preview copy, while export always uses the original file for best quality. No test footage at hand? Generate 3 sample clips locally with one tap.
2. Select & sort — each clip shows a filmstrip of thumbnails; drag on it to pick start–end, fine-tune with sliders or numeric input, adjust volume, and reorder by dragging the ⠿ handle (or ↑↓ buttons).
3. Preview & export — preview a single segment (with loop, for precise timing) or the whole montage via one-click colored timeline segments. Export renders a real MP4 (MPEG-4 + AAC) with ffmpeg: each segment is re-encoded to a uniform size, then losslessly concatenated — saved straight to Videos, no dialogs. Total under 10 minutes, single file under 800 MB.
Under the hood
- Playback via QMediaPlayer with a custom QAbstractVideoSurface (no MultimediaWidgets module needed); software decoding is enforced because the platform hardware decoder (droidvdec) grabs the pipeline and fails without fallback.
- Everything runs on-device with system ffmpeg/ffprobe — no uploads, no network needed after install (except first-time codec downloads, which don't apply here).

- 播放不了修复:启动时把 droidvdec rank 降为0,强制 avdec 软解(硬解抢占失败后不回退,直接整条管线报错)
