FastDial is an easy and fast phone pad to search your contacts by name.

WARNING
since Sailfish OS update 1.0.3.8, you must add contact access permission in this file /usr/share/mapplauncherd/privileges by adding this line :
/usr/bin/FastDial,p

Be aware that I am not responsible of any damage caused to your device.

- longpress on 1 call voicemail (configure number in more screen)
- four last numbers dialed are present on home

Before contact search was working okay, but now when i write name, it wont show contact. I thought that I can repair it by reinstallation, but it didnt repair.

Hi, I have problem, on SFOS3 search stopped working. I tried to reinstall, but probkem still persists. Maybe author can add some button to pulley menu to load contacts instantly? :)

No sorry: I don't have a Jolla phone anymore so I can't (and I don't want to) update FastDial.

Not working on 1.1.2.16. The dialler screen briefly flashes on the phone and then the app dies. I did add the required permissions to /usr/share/mapplauncherd/privileges (and rebooted the phone).

If there is a specific log file you'd like me to look at, please let me know and I will upload any debug info I can find.

edit: Started app from a terminal, found an assertion failure:

Great app thanks a lot. One thing missing though there is no "+" on the dial pad. Its required for making international calls in my country.

Nice app! Could the free-screen-space show 3-5 latest calls, and maybe when pressing dial, then disappear and act normally the search? I could then replace the jolla-one haha.

Hi,

It is ok for voicemail in 1.3.0.
For the search field, I don't really want to reset it because users can need to switch apps while copying number.

Ah yes, you are completely right, I haven't thought about this use case.

I still find the search a bit slowish, any way it can be improved or is it related to the people app access?

Is it possible that the app is no more working with Sailfish 1.0.3.8 ?

I tried a restart and then re-install the app,

but FastDial gets no search results since I updated the OS.  :-(

Same here, it's not working anymore after 1.0.3.8 update. Rebooted/reinstalled, didn't work.

do you know if we could allows definitely the FastDial app to use the phone to avoid the banner before each call? Some kind of setting to always allow or some kind of bypass?

Brilliant!, alaingrange, thanks for this app!, love it!, straight into dialler, no messing!
Once I got all my contacts names out of 'nicknames', finding contacts quickly, worked! Then the day after, you added 'search' in nicknames! :D
I changed the icon to add some pizazz to such a great piece of software!

I downloaded version 1.1.0 but the new features are not working, and in the "About" there is still 1.0.0 as version number... (O_o)'

For About version it is an oversight, sorry.

For new features you mean nickname search? Can you try to quit and restart FastDial? Do you contacts have nicknames in Jolla contact app? (not only in your Exchange/Google... server)
