Ever forgot about your parking-disk setting in time-restricted free parking zones, commonly found in Europe? This simple Sailfish app keeps track of your free parking time, calculates the minutes left and informs you when your parking time ends.

Swipe down to choose a countdown as permitted by road signs: 30 minutes, 1 hour or 2 hours. The countdown will start automatically. Five minutes before parking time ends, a short sound will remind you of your car. Another alarm will be played when time expires.

Remember, this app is NOT for standard parking METERS, where you can use any Sailfish countdown. This app is for time-restricted free parking zones, which are marked with a road sign similar to the app symbol and another sign below telling you how many minutes or hours you can park. There you need to place your own parking DISK visible on the dash of your car and turn it to the next half/full hour, BEFORE the actual parking countdown starts. So depending on the time of parking, you can get up to 29 minutes bonus time. Since that is confusing, here is the app that helps you not to get fined.

Application versions:

in case you forgot how you left it in the car, you can check the app.
- UI changes: Current time now shown in upper right corner

About the bonus park minutes to the next half/full hour: I also know this rule from German traffic laws but is it the same for all the EU countries?

Are you planning to release this in the Jolla Store? Also, I'd like to help translating to Finnish, if not yet implemented (haven't installed the app).

Actually that is the way such time-restricted parking zones, where you need to put a parking-disk visible in your car, work. When you park your car let's say in a 30-minute free parking zone, you turn your parking disk to the next half hour... and the countdown starts from there. So the minutes untill that half hour you get as bonus minutes added to 30 minutes of free parking. So depending when you place your car, you can park up to 29 minutes more. Confusing, I know. :)

Um... The Jolla Clock app does basically the same thing already...

Love the idea. Do think there is still a bug. If I choose 30 minures, the timer is set to 50 minutes.
