Installer for the native OpenRepos.net client for Sailfish OS

Starting from version 0.2.9 Storeman is buit with the help of Sailfish OS OBS and Storeman Installer is used for its installation. To update Storeman prior to 2.9, one need to remove the existing RPM and use the installer or use an appropriate repository for manual update. Further updates will be done automatically. All old RPMs from this repository were archived here.

ATTENTION!

  • Every SFOS release requires a configured OBS repository. Therefore Storeman installation may not be available for some time after a new SFOS release until maintainers configure a new repository. This is especially true for EA releases
  • If you have any troubles with installing, removing or updating packages after the system upgrade try to run "devel-su pkcon refresh" in the terminal app
  • Storeman can still be unstable! Application name does not affiliated to any other software

Installation instructions:

  • Enable "System → Security → Untrusted software → Allow untrusted software" in the device settings
  • Visit this page using the device’s browser, and tap the harbour-storeman-installer-$version.jolla_.noarch.rpm link further down the page or download the RPM with your computer and transfer it to the device somehow
  • Tap the downloaded or transfered RPM in the device's "File downloaded" notification or in the file browser and confirm the installation
  • Optionally disable back the "Allow untrusted software"
  • Find the "Storeman Installer" icon in the device's app grid, tap it and wait for Storeman installation finishes - the "Storeman Installer" icon should be replaced by Storeman itself
  • The installer itself is removed automatically

Current features:

  • List recently updated applications
  • List installed applications
  • List, add/remove, enable/disable repositories
  • Show applications info similar to the official Jolla store client
  • Install/remove applications
  • All lists are scrollable, data is loaded in the background
  • Search for applications
  • Authorize to OpenRepos.net using Sailfish Secrets for secure storing of credentials
  • Comment, reply to comments, edit and delete own comments for apps
  • Use button panel to add HTML tags when typing comments (hint: select text and then click a button to wrap it with a tag)
  • Tap on the "Reply to" label on the comments list to navigate to the original comment
  • List categories and apps by categories
  • Hide any categories of applications
  • Show categories on the applications page - tap a category label to show all related applications
  • Initial support for apps bookmarks (offline only)
  • Initial support for backups (offline only)
  • Rate applications
  • Find and manage local RPM files

Sorry if tgis is a stupid question - I wanted to log in to openrepos in storeman settings, but no symbols allowed in username. When I registered in openrepos, only an email address was asked for. I don't see any way to change username to something without symbols...

osetr's picture

Sorry but as martonmiklos has mentioned only a username can be used to login.

Excellent!

@osetr After updating to the latest version (0.0.20) I noticed that every commentator has this gear symbol next to his name. Previously this was reserved for the owner of the app. Is it only me or is everyone facing this behaviour? Or is it the favoured one?

osetr's picture

This issue was already fixed in dev branch https://github.com/mentaljam/harbour-storeman/issues/42

Vieno's picture

Ok, sorry didn't check that. Thanks for fixing.

I cannot launch Storeman anymore, not sure if this related to a Storeman update or another change on my system. Here is what I get from terminal:

[nemo@Sailfish ~]$ harbour-storeman
[D] unknown:0 - Using Wayland-EGL
harbour-storeman: symbol lookup error: harbour-storeman: undefined symbol: _ZN1
4NetworkManager8instanceEv

I'm running Sailfish 2.1.1.24 at the moment.

Sorry, I have no idea...

Store App always crashes after app install

@osetr Okay, that's pity. Well how about adding another cover action button like warehouse have? I'm not sure what was that second button(refresh?) in warehouse.

That can be possible at least :P

Btw thanks for quick answer!

Kelmi's picture

Is there plans to bring feature that enables rate up/review application and other things on openrepos? It would be nice and handy to give stars from storeman. ;)

Anyways Osetr is made great job indeed! Really skillful and awesome guy! But as always there is something to improve ;P

Rating is here!

Kelmi's picture

Hey, absolutely fantastic! Huge thanks for you. Now storeman is perfect and feature rich. Brilliant work!

osetr's picture

Thanks for your kind words! Rating is not currently supported with OprnRepos API but you can ask @Basil directly.

When I update any application from Storeman 0.0.20, Storeman force closes once the app is updated. Storeman updates the app correctly but it force closes.

nerfiaux's picture

It was my first test. Uninstall reboot reinstalled. Same issue always caching.

osetr's picture

And does it work now? If yes would it work after reinstall? Could you test it with a debug version?

nerfiaux's picture

None at start

osetr's picture

And what if you remove storeman and reinstall it?

nerfiaux's picture

I install the package harbour-storeman-0.0.19-1.armv7hl.rpm  from a new installation on my SailfishX.
The storeman app kept caching and i could not install any app.
I removed version 0.19 and installed version 0.16.
Storeman could not launch.
Then I installed version 0.19 on top of 0.16.
Still crashing at start.
I restarted the XperiaX and then storeman is all good.

osetr's picture

It's strange. How many enabled repositories do you have?

ferlanero's picture

With 0.0.19 version, the problem with being the first commenting has gone. Thanks!

TMavica's picture

Delete all config cache , now commenting is work

ferlanero's picture

Related to comments section. I have found a bug in 0.0.18 version. If you enter in comments section of an app where nobody has commented yet, then there is impossible to send the first comment. Storeman simply flicks the screen up and down and nothing more happens.

ferlanero's picture

By the way, great app @osetr. Incredible performance and feel. Good to see new functionalities on cover actions (they are always welcomed). I like so much this app that I have design a new high resolution icon for it to use on my phone. If you are interested on seeing it, please, let me know ;)

TMavica's picture

Cant post comment in storeman, no response after click send. also updating apps, it crash but the all is updated after relaunch storeman

ferlanero's picture

That behavior occurred to me some versions ago. I have to completely uninstall Storeman, delete all its remaining stuff and then install that new version again. It has never failed again since then.

Cant post comment in storeman

Does Storeman notify you about expired authorisation?

also updating apps, it crash

Yes the last release is quite buggy.

TMavica's picture
