Hi Ancelad. Upgrading to 2.1.3 caused this patch to stop working and it is a must for me, since am not able to get it applying again I even considered a downgrade. Is there a way to get it to apply once again. Thanks so much in advance.

Check web-catalog

DameCENO's picture

Thanks for the reply, in web catalog it shows I have the latest version 0.0.4 but doesn't apply on 2.1.3 complains of compatibility issues... I am asking for help, and remains greatful for all your great work

Ancelad's picture

It works on 2.1.3.7, all compatibility issues was fixed some days ago

DameCENO's picture

So any suggestions ? Maybe installing and reinstalling the patch?
Let me get at it and report back.
Thanks alot Ancelad

Ancelad's picture

Yes, try to reinstall

DameCENO's picture

It did the trick, not just for this patch but the pulley menu patches as well.
Thanks alot Ancelad, you are appreciated.

Hi Ancelad, patch isn't insallable at SFOS 2.1.1.26  Neither with Storeman nor Patchmanager. Is there an update in progress?

silta's picture

Thank you, I've got it.

Ancelad's picture

Seems you've forgot to disable it before system update

danfin's picture

that could be true. Is there a fix, or do I need to reset my device? Sorry, fo course:

Ancelad's picture

Seems you don't have patch which was applied correctly

danfin's picture

yes, and I have fun: Patchmanager will not uninstall it, so I can't even get rid of it. Msg 'removal failed'. Plus, I can use Call recording or Quick call, if I want.

Ancelad's picture

Check Settings - Apps - Phone

danfin's picture

thats exactly where I don't find 'additional settings'. Only the main page (call duration, call lo, call recording, sim1, sim2, voicemail number) is accessible, pulley to delete call duration too.

danfin's picture

thank you. I downgraded, restarted and upgraded to 0.04 from webcatalog. Additional settings are missing however.

Ancelad's picture

It works. Don't use warehouse-version, use the latest from Patchmanager2 web-catalog.

danfin's picture

is this patch functional in 2.1.1.24? On my intex, it does not work, and it does not uninstall from patchmanager nor from Warehouse. Warehouse will msg 'nothing provides voicecall-ui-jolla=0.10.1.1 combined-2.0.5.6-1.armv7hl'

Apanas's picture

After update to 2.1.1.23 and 24 can't apply patch. Failed to install patch.

Ancelad's picture

No any problems

danfin's picture

after installing via patchmanager, I can tap on 'phone settings' but this shows the app's info page and lets me unapply the patch only. Where a I supposed to find 'voicecall combined settings' settings? I don't find 'em. (intex aqua fish, 2.1.0.11)

The intensity setting of the "vibrate when connected" function has a bug:
1. It is always reset to "1" when leaving / reentering Settings --> Apps --> Phone, after setting Additional settings --> Vibrate when connected --> Intensity to any value greater or equal than "0.5", there.
2. It is always reset to "0" when leaving / reentering Settings --> Apps --> Phone, after setting Additional settings --> Vibrate when connected --> Intensity to any value smaller than "0.5", there.
3. The setting "0" is not reachable by pulling the slider to its leftmost position, but by executing point 2.

Possible solutions:
a. Make the leftmost position of this slider always "0.1", and not "0" after executing point 2.
b. I do understand that various hardware has different properties WRT their vibrators. Apparently the Jolla 1 phone has only two settings (this statement may be technically incorrect, judging only from the behaviour here), "weak" (mapped to "0" to "0.4" in "Voicecall combined patch", currently) and "strong" (mapped to "0.5" to "1").
If it is possible to detect the number of vibration intensity levels of a specific hardware (or to detect the hardware in general and have a table in "Voicecall combined patch, listing this number for devices officially supported by SFOS), please only offer this number of slider positions. I.e. "0.5" and "1" for a Jolla 1 phone, if I understand all this correctly.

Side note: IMHO the sub-section "Additional settings" is not necessary or very helpful. These settings could be just as well part of the regular settings (i.e. one level higher, not in a *sub*-menu anymore; either above or still below the SIM card settings) for the Phone app, or am I missing something?

Tested with "Voicecall combined patch" v0.0.3 (from Patchmanager2's web catalog) under SailfishOS 2.1.0.11 on a Jolla 1 phone.

Ancelad's picture

Thanks, the value is correct now.

Wow, much more than this, the vibra slider is working perfectly in v0.0.4! :))
Side note: Updated German strings for "Voice call combined patch" on Transifex (rectified two typos and enhanced three other translated strings).

Hello,

Since I've updated my phone, when the patch is activated I have no keypad. What should I do ?

Ancelad's picture

What kind of keyboard?
