Patch: Tablet UI

Your rating: None Average: 5 (1 vote)

It enables the Jolla Tablet-like Event view. It comes with three patches:

  • Quick actions sidebar: to show the Event view sidebar.
  • 2 columns in quick action sidebar: to set two columns of toggles on the sidebar.
  • Force large covers: to force large covers on the homescreen.

For the best result, you may want to tune your device pixel ratio with the UI themer.

Remember to refresh your homescreen to apply your settings.

What are the chances of getting vertical sliders for ringtone volume and brightness in the 2 columns in quick action sidebar? That would be much easier to control than the sliders that are too close to the screen bezel otherwise and even harder to control with that damned Kalman filter...

Is it possible that we can customize the placement and spacing of quick actions sidebar? As the position of brightness slider is where the finger sliding screen, I often change the brightness by mistake.

That's why they hid the sliders from the sidebar in the original design. :D Getting new habits is easier.

I'm pretty sure it's possible, but I don't know how :/

Will be great if we can have also the SIM selector on the top.

Adding some lines from Events pulley will do it, but it appears even on JP1 with only 1 SIM – I couldn't figure it out.

Weird, I have a Jolla C but only one SIM to try out :/

Ancelad's picture this will hide settings-icon :D

Thank you! Actually I tried to remove that piece of code altogether resulting in the Events view missing, but I've not thought about adding visibility: hidden. I guess it may have something to do with my noobness :D
